Our commitment
The Pick is committed to providing a website and web app that are accessible to the widest possible audience. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and we review our experiences regularly as we release new features and content.
Scope
This statement applies to digital properties we control at thepick.ai, including our marketing site and logged in web application.
Measures we take
Use of semantic HTML and ARIA only when necessary
Keyboard operability for all interactive elements, including menus and dialogs
Clear focus states and logical tab order
Sufficient color contrast for text and essential graphics
Meaningful link text and headings that reflect page structure
Labels and instructions for all form inputs and controls
Captions for videos and transcripts for audio when published
Consistent navigation and layout across pages
Regular automated checks with tools such as Lighthouse and axe, followed by manual audits
Conformance status
Our goal is full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. Many areas already meet or exceed these criteria. Some components are still being improved and we welcome your feedback.
Compatibility
Our site is designed to work with the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile. It is intended to be compatible with common assistive technologies and operating system accessibility features.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of The Pick relies on HTML, WAI ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies help us support accessibility features in modern browsers and assistive technologies.
Known limitations and workarounds
We track and actively address the following items:
Live data components such as odds, scores, and charts may update in real time. In some views, screen readers may not announce these updates. Where possible we provide a pause or refresh control and a table view for the same information.
Some charts rely on color to convey meaning. We include text labels or patterns and provide underlying data in tables or downloadable CSV when available.
Older PDF resources and third-party embedded content may not meet the same level of accessibility. We will provide an alternative format on request.
If you encounter an issue that is not listed here, please let us know.
Third-party services
We use third-party providers for services such as authentication, payments, analytics, and embedded media. While we cannot control the accessibility of these platforms, we select vendors that state their commitment to accessibility and we pass along issues you report.
Feedback and requests
If you experience difficulty with any part of our site or need content in an alternative format, contact us at support@thepick.ai. Please include the page URL, the problem you experienced, and your browser, device, and any assistive technology you use. We will do our best to help promptly.
Continuous improvement
We review this statement and our accessibility roadmap at regular intervals and after major releases. We train our team on accessible design and development practices and include accessibility checks in our quality assurance process.
